[RC] Suzanne Pindar and Shayne - Pard'ners Award nomination - Marilyn Wiese
I am nominating Suzanne Pindar (AERC#:12857) and
Shayne's Treasure +/ (AERC#:13621) for the 2006 Pard'ners Award. If you would
like to see Suzanne and Shayne receive the 2006 Pard'ners Award please send a
word of support FOR the nomination to me via email or snail mail. Also please
share stories, anecdotes, pictures and/or other pertinent information that show
the bond Suzanne and Shayne have with each other so that I can compile all the
data into a packet to send to AERC with the nomination.
Here is a quick glimpse of what the pair has
accomplished:
At the time of this writing, they have 7260
endurance miles together. All of Shayne’s miles have been completed with Suzanne
as his rider. Under Suzanne, Shayne has completed all the requirements for the
Perfect Ten Horse except the 10,000 miles; he exceeds the requirements for
number of years in competition, number of top tens and number of best
conditions.
Overall, they have completed rides every year
since 1994, completed 5 100 mile rides, won 12 BCs, have approximately 80 top
tens, completed numerous multi-day rides and were on the Pan Am Mountain Zone
team in 2001. They have done 130 rides together and have a 96% completion rate.
Suzanne and Shayne are also a Decade Team because they have completed at least
10 years of endurance rides as partners.
Shayne’s BCs include those
received when he was 19 and a late 20 years of age. He is now 21 years old and
still going strong although Suzanne picks his rides carefully and has plans for
his retirement since she wants him to retire with the body and mind to still be
able to do endurance. Shayne's birthday is in February 22 and the AERC
Convention is on Feb 23 and 24...wouldn't this be a great twenty second birthday
present for Shayne and Suzanne?
The above accomplishments are not all that will be
included in the official nomination for the Pard'ners Award. They are just
highlights to showcase some of the accomplishments of Suzanne and
Shayne.
The deadline for nominations is September 24 so the material will
need get to me by around Sept 15 so that I can organize it and forward it to the
AERC. Feel free to either email or snail mail the information to
