Re: [RC] Rider Drugs - Barbara McCraryI agree with this. My father apparently had a huge tolerance for pain, because he never had anesthesia for any of his considerable dentistry...including tooth extractions. Throughout his life, I think I heard him moan in pain exactly once, post-surgery (major.) I'm afraid I may not have inherited his pain tolerance level. Oh, yes, he lived to be just short of 92.Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "k s swigart" <katswig@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, August 16, 2006 10:54 PM Subject: [RC] Rider Drugs I am fully aware that I appear to have a much higher tolerance for pain than some people appear to, and that I appear to be able to come through most mishaps virtually unscathed (Grand Canyon experience notwithstanding). I suspect that this has less to do with youth (I am not as young as some of the people here seem to think I am) and more to do with genetics which would give me more "natural ability" than others. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
