Re: [RC] injuries - Jo Ann KnightYeeeeehaaaaaaaaaa is right June. I had a fall from a horse on a country road and my cousin who I was riding behind fell on top of me, we were across the blacktop and the shoulder. The black top was raised a bit from the shoulder. For a long time I couldn't stand to be touched on my back at the bra line nor could I stand to back into anything. Later exrays show the area had fused but had been fractured or broken and the doctor said that he did not expect a person with that kind of condition to be walking well let alone riding! I think that was an exaggeration. But I never told anyone for fear of a fight to be able to keep riding! Jo Ann June said: I say most horse folk are just plain tougher than "normal" folk. ...Ha... crack in the neck of the femur 3/4 way through. He turned white and said what the hell are you doing walking?" The ortho he sent me to also said he didn't anyone who could or would be walking with something like that...much less riding.....June the walking wounded!!! did I say we weren't normal?????? well are we??????
