Then I bought an Australian saddle, with a
small seat size. Replaced the 'leathers' with webbers and caged
stirrups.
*Our daugher started out on our Welsh pony in a
child size cheap Aussie saddle from Jeffers...It was VERY deep seat with
poleys...and fit the pony just fine. I had a fleece cover on it also and
my daugther was VERY secure.
When she outgrew that, she went into a 14" sport
saddle (training and schooling model)..which has deeper seat and higher cantle
than the endurance model......it also fit the pony well, and most of my horses
and was very secure.....
