Merri, I’m
so glad you mentioned Bill. He and the junior he picked up along the trail,
Hillary Graham, were riding with Crystal Costa, who picked up my junior rider, Tara. The 4 rode
together for quite awhile, from Robinson to Michigan Bluff. I can’t thank
all the riders enough, Georgianne Gross from Auburn,
CA and Sandra Thomson from GA, (who
yelled out “I’ll take her” when I had to turn around and go back to
Lyon Ridge) and of course, Bill & Crystal, who helped Tara get as far as
she did after Storm & I pulled. Not everyone is willing to risk their ride
by picking up a junior. It would be
nice for all the riders who willingly pick up juniors along the trail to be
given recognition.

Guy or Gal Award given out at Sunday’s awards.
