[RC] Angie's thoughts :) - Cindy CollinsYou are right on, Angie! I totally agree with this. I haven't been able to do so in many years, but the three horses I rode who were mainly started out in 100 milers, did very well in them and had longevity. It's not popular now, but as we've hashed ad nauseum, many of us never did LD at all on our horses and many only did one or two 50s before they did a 100 miler. Of course, that presumes a base. Cindy P.S. Seems to me the riders who focus on 100's early on, and never bother to race 50's have the best luck with longevity...see Drubin, and Honey (Becky Harris' mare whatever Myntfa) Angie =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
