Wow, “cold, miserable and yuck”.
Where do you live? I bet a lot of ridecampers would love those conditions

I don’t do the distances you guys do, but there are
days when I have to rid up to five horses (a lot for a showjumper / dressage
rider J) and I then ride in my Hi-tec
hiking boots. They do have a small heel but are light and comfy.
