So the Junior doesn't lose points accumulated - s(he) just can't accumulate any more as a Junior.Still, that is not what the Rule Books demands. Nor does it make any sense that a person who rides as a Junior, with sponsor, be considered a Senior. A Senior is responsible for staying on trail. A Junior is responsible for staying with the sponsor. A Senior may complete a ride in the fastest time possible (and thereby accumulate the maximum number of points for his/her division). A Junior must ride no faster than the sponsor. If a Senior enters incorrect info on his membership application, he can correct it. If a Junior requests the right to ride as a Senior before really ready to take on that responsibility, he can't correct his mistake.
