Re: FW: [RC] Hot feet - rides2farBut hot enough to pain the horse? Hard to imagine when they don't act upset when the farrier hot shoes them. Haven't seen any smoke pouring off my horse's hoof standing in the field. Would steel, on the bottom of a foot get any hotter than a foot would in the same conditions? Kinda shady on the bottom of the foot but I suppose the ability to conduct heat comes in to play. If I had my choice of standing barefoot on pavement, or on a thin piece of steel that wasn't *pre heated*, I'd take the steel. It would help for a while at least. Can't see it getting hotter than the pavement itself. Angie =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
