[RC] 2006 Big Horn 100 - rides2far

recognize that in today's world, vets and drag riders are expected
and > >necessary.

As a ride manager, I haven't ever tried to have drag riders because
that's just one more horse out there that could have a problem. As often
as not they're as fit as the horses in the ride and can't see any better
in the dark. I can see at a ride like this where the horses are really
near their limit, that if you could have them start right at the bad
section they might help, but who rescues the drag rider?

I have been a drag rider at a CT ride where I spent all my time rescuing
the other drag rider. They get off trail too.

As a rider I expect good vets, a marked trail, and a correctly measured
trail. I'll trade you 10 miles over for a drag rider any day.
