[RC] Tevis Website Updates now under way - TypeF \(Jackie Floyd\)
Just a quick note to let endurance
newsgroups know that Western States Trail Foundation has asked me to take
on the job of keeping the Tevis website updated and I accepted.
Two weeks ago I was able to finish updating the
2005 finishers page. This morning I finished updating the Combined Finishers
data. I thought the first-time finishers would like to know that they can now
actually see their "name in lights."
Out of 85 finishers in 2005, 41 one of them were
first-time finishers. That was definitely a surprise to me as I expected it to
be a much smaller percentage. Just goes to show, anyone has a chance to
be in that 50% completion rate, first-time rider or seasoned pro. It
all comes down to what the day has in store for a particular person. A total of
2,251 individual riders have earned 4,559 completions over the course of
51 years.
19 people either added a year or made their way
onto the Multiple Finishes page in 2005, of which three are first-time names
having upped their number of completions to five, and two made it to that
magical 10-finish mark.
And because I can ... those 19 are listed
below:
25 - Hal Hall
19 - Cassandra Schuler, DVM
15 - Loreley Stewart
13 - Terri Anderson
10 - Phillip Gardner
10 - Pamela Stalley
9 - Linda Glazier
9 - Gloria Vanderford
8 - Patrick McDonald
8 - Dave Rabe
8 - Robert Ribley
8 - Frank Smith
7 - Brenda Benkly
7 - Nancy Gabri
7 - Debby Lyon
6 - Steve Shaw
5 - F. Warren Hellman
5 - Bronwyn Swan
5 - Jazon Wonders
I still have lots of updating to do, but I thought
I would at least share this part with you.
Updates can be found at www.foothill.net/tevis . The 2006
Ride Application will be available in late January to early
February.
If anyone sees anything wrong with their
information or that of someone else, please do let me know so that I can get it
fixed. Everything is manually done and I have been known to make an occasional
typo.
