Re: [RC] finding time to train for a 50? - Jon . LindermanTracey, I know what youa re going thru, beleive me. Sometimes it seems like everyone has more time than you. I get the same way & life got crazier with a new baby (#3) last year, but if you look around lots of people "git 'er done" w/vary degress of hectic lives. One gal I know, I think, had hubby leave for 2 tours in Iraq, and rides on w/her daughter, so shes my hero. I had set a goal of doing two 100's last year. I made good use of the rides I did get to do, used as many local competitions like CTR's to train for 50's to train for those 100's. I also did a few crazy things like riding at 10:30 at night, but I get a bit nuts. If your horse is doing LD's and is fit try back to back LD's to make use of the gas you spent going to the ride. Forget about placings and just complete them both. If you've already done that, then sounds to me like your horse is ready & its time to just bite the bullet, be patient, take care of that pony & ride you 1st 50, one loop @ a time. Isn't that what I heard about a 100? Its not a 100 its four 25's in one day. Jon
