Re: [RC] [RC] Horses in Slant Loads - Valerie Nicoson

Has there been a change in which horse is in what stall in the trailer?  Is there a change in which horses are beside one another?  If so perhaps leave an empty stall between the horses if you're hauling 2 vs 3.
You might also want to think of temporarily installing a tiny camera and viewing it later (if you don't have an in cab monitor) to see what's going on.
Just some additional thoughts,
Val

I've read many articles how horses like riding in trailers backwards vs facing forwards. Just wondering if anyone who has a slant load ever loads their horses backwards or not or even if it's not rocommended somehow due to safety issues.

I'd like to try it with at least one of my guys who seems to be more and more nervous in my 3 HS load that he's ridden in for the past 9 years.

Appreciate any ideas/experiences about this.
