My wife bought a Honda Civic Hybrid. Window sticker said 49-51mpg. They
lied as usual. 6mo and 3000mi later she only gets 30-35mpg on crappy San
Diego gas. They have a transmission but it's different. It doesn't have
set gears, the gear ratio varies while the engine rpms stay at whatever
rpm gives the most engine power. I would get a used small gas Honda or
Toyota, they get 35mpg and only cost $5000. That other $20,000 will buy a
lot of gas. JMHO
