Nellie & I have just gotten back from the Big Horn 100. WHAT A
RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a wonderful time & a great ride to Jack
Creek. When we went to leave that last check, Nellie had gotten a knot in her
shoulder so we opted for the trailer ride back to camp:( That Adelaide
replacement loop sure was a doosey, a loooooong way to go without much room to
trot. Even though mules can't talk, Nellie plainly told me what she thought
about going up hill, AGAIN, & then some more, & then again. You know, we
did this ride last year the other direction, & either way it seems to
be all up hill:) I just don't know how they do that. Nellie & I would
like to thak ride management & all the volunteers for a great ride--we will
be back. Also, congratulations to all the riders, whether you finished or not,
it's an awesome trail. To anyone considering this ride in the future--DO IT. The
stories about the tough trail are not to scare you, but rather to challenge you.
If a mule from a pretty much flat Michigan can do it (at least last year &
75 mi this year) YOU CAN too!
