And for what it's worth, I agree with a previous post that Barbaro's owners, trainers, and veterinarians who are fighting so hard to keep this horse alive, are not "in it" for the money. I believe they care deeply for this special horse. I've wanted, for years, for the horse racing industry -- not just TB, but QH racing also -- to wait another year before they start training and racing the young horses. Not only that, but the jockeys need to have consideration as well -- the strict weight requirements for jockeys threaten their health. If the horses were a year older, they could handle the extra weight of the jockey better, couldn't they?
