I only have second hand information, but my understanding is that the
horse died from a twisted gut...nothing any one could have done.  I heard
that the horse rolled after he finished the ride and his saddle was pulled
and the supposition is that he twisted at that time.  No one believes the
horse was over-ridden.  It was a **** happens thing that could happen to
any of us, any ride.  Cindy
