[RC] Fw: Miracles Happen! Reg: Horses Need Homes - Jo Ann Knight
Here is some more information regarding the horses in Middletown, Northern California.
I have left email addresses in for those who want to make contact and to check on and/or verify information by connecting with the authors of the email.
Penngrove Hay & Grain just agreed to work with us at Micro Minerals to feed these horses for the next 2 full weeks, until they find homes! That is 1,000's of dollars worth of donations to help these horses. So any donations other than for hay might go to Penngrove Hay & Grain. They even offered to deliver a pallet of grain and pellets if we can't fit it all into our truck.
A big thanks to Sydni Davenport, the horse angel, for all her hard work up to this point. Tim and I are heading up with her to Middletown tomorrow afternoon with a truckload of Micro Minerals and feed from Penngrove.
(Alert, for anyone who has bought one of these weak animals. Caution against using strong wormers and meds. Use the Micro Minerals as a slow natural wormer, and a way to strengthen their digestive system. Sydni tried it last week on her weakest mare and it helped in 3 days. These animals are so weak, the organic, natural methods will be gentler on their systems.)
We are going to write an article to give credit to all those who worked so hard to help these beautiful horses. After we find homes for all them, that is...
If anyone knows of a farm or ranch with space, we might be able to buy all of the remaining herd and care for them, fatten them up, get them needed care, and then find good homes for them. Any ideas out there?
