RE: FW: [RC] Making your own PVC Panels - Susan FavroThe panels come with a stake kit that will address those issues. Personally I've not used the stake kit and even when my horse reaches under the panel to get to that last blade of grass he can reach, I've not had a problem with the panels moving around or with him lifting them and "relocating" the panel so he can extend his reach. My horse has rubbed on the top rail (he was running his head across the top rail), but again I've not had a problem with the panels moving. If he were to start rubbing his rump against them, I would probably stake them down to insure the corral. Overall I've been very pleased with the panels and my horse's interaction with them. .S Susan Favro Healthy As A Horse Network "Innovative effective products for the conscientious horse owner" Voice - 406.864.8000 Fax - 559.272.6093 Mobile - 406.370.6399 E-mail - Susan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Online - www.HealthyAsAHorse.Net -----Original Message----- From: Laney Humphrey [mailto:laneyhh@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Saturday, July 01, 2006 10:08 PM To: susan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: FW: [RC] Making your own PVC Panels Susan, are the panels heavy enough for a horse to rub against them without moving and also to stay in place if a horse sticks his head through them to get grass on the other side? laney Susan Favro wrote: The panels are either 4' or 5' tall panels. Plus you can electrify the panels if you like. My 15.2h Paint does fine in the corral. It's also not resistant to lower temperatures so it will get brittle and break. And it if gets whacked or thwacked it will break. So, it's not the best material for a corral system. If you're looking for something that won't chip, peel, crack or rust, take a look at CarriLite Corrals. I sure have liked them. They're made of a high-impact resin, are lightweight and stout. They also fold up small so they're easy to fit in the bed of your truck or in your trailer. I have a 98-gallon fuel tank, a good sized generator and a propane tank in the bed of my truck, and when the gooseneck trailer is hooked up I can still stack 10 panels between the gooseneck and the tailgate. Very convenient. I did find that 10 panels makes for a better size corral the 8 panels. If you'd like more info, let me know. BTW, the manufacturer gives a one-warranty on the panels (highly unusual in the corral industry) and there's a satisfaction guarantee. .S Susan Favro Healthy As A Horse Network "Innovative effective products for the conscientious horse owner" Voice - 406.864.8000 Fax - 559.272.6093 Mobile - 406.370.6399 E-mail - Susan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:Susan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Online - www.HealthyAsAHorse.Net <http://www.healthyasahorse.net/> ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yahoo!
