[RC] pvc panels - smuncy

   PVC panels  --     he,he,  -- it  can be done - rather inexpensively -  I did ---about 12 x 16 ft pen,   but  ---------
 1) have a way to anchor panels !! = set panels on metal post!! = and have way to secure, tie down!! ,  panel to posts , --
 -   that, ..   and they will deteriorate - become brittle/break over time - increase risk of injury.
First ride I ever did with Lyric ( 93)  - had pvc panel system - I developed - ( relatively cheap, fit together well, corners / post  and long sections, easy to haul / assemble ) == seemed good  !  , secure  !?   ? so I thought - - til he decides to put his head through and lifted it off the  ground; lol -  luckily, I was standing there - and told him .....No!!!!.. - he just set it back down. He had to spend the night tied to the trailer,.( NATRC ride)  I added post after that --- then went to electric pen with him - whether,  electric 'on' or not - he would stay in.  My other horse - got tied reguardless -   I found  he   jumps of of pens, even day after ride.( he should have been tired, by then). Personally, perfer a pen - of some type = but I may tie 'a' horse at 'bedtime' - but, with pen;   I  try and set up so -  truck, trailer, trees, fence line -  or and other rig(s)  make enclosure.
( I never slept well at rides - woke up too many times to hoof beats - real or imaginary, and luckily - not mine, when horses were loose )--

Just catching up on ridecamp  post - about leg wraps -  true to some extent - does  makes owner feel better -  definitely true --- and  -  if doing leg wraps  - you  better know  "how to wrap" -  but - --
There are times like when -  if,  one is leg injured - the opposite leg -  is wrapped to provide support, especially if horse is stalled. (Check with Barbaro's vets.?)
otherwise - traveling bangages - are to up to individual -- if  'wrapping'    - is better  to provide quits, or cotton material  - under polo wraps/ or other types unless =  'all inclusive' - a combination that provides more protection, --  than support.
After some rides- I would used polo wraps on my horses til home.  Sometimes I would coat with poltice before applying - thought would help with minor injury/inflammation - swelling - ??   tried this too late ===
Heard  later ,    better to prevent swelling, ....  if can apply wrap .ie.,   early  ...  after ride, 'correctly',  with or without poutice, then cold hose after ... may help prevent " windpuffs" ??  Don't know ?? Idea,...  is to prevent initial and subsequent swelling of 'space'., tendon sheath ? ?
As far as shipping boots,  -   - I use!  (  all individual ),       -    why not ??  can / would prevent 'a step on', or an 'off loading injury'  ?? Cheap insurance, Stephanie M
