Re: [RC] easyboot opinions? - rides2farI > have to get a new gaiter for one of the boots cause it's torn but it's lasted a while. Alot cheaper than going out and buying new boots. Here's some nostalgia for ya. Back in 1977 I bought a full set of 4 easyboots for $68. back then they came with a little nylon loop that went around the heel strap and attached to a bracelet type nylon piece with a buckle that went around the horse's leg. Then when the boot fell off it kinda flopped along and if your horse didn't bolt over the next ridge, you could get off and put it back on. Problem was my horse stepped on it while she was dragging it and bent the buckles on the boot damaging it. How is the gator an improvement on the old buckle on system? I have actually tied surveyer flagging to the boot and to my horse's leg (loosely) hoping it would stay with him long enough for me to know it came off but break if he paniced. Since Kaboot never lost easyboots I never found out how well it worked.
