[RC] SFTrail ride - jean maguire

For those interested in following the latest STORY on this ride please read the Sunday sports section of THE NEW MEXICAN. There is an article about the ride which will make you question what the organizers are really trying to do. I have tried repeatedly to get in contact with the organizers and have had no response even when they were in Santa Fe. The AERC is not mentioned as sanctioning this ride and not mentioned period !  The entry fee is non-refundable and the current course goes along the paved interstate for a good portion of the way. The ride as outlined at this point will be over 60 miles a day with NO REST DAYS.Maybe the organizers need to be pressured by AERC riders not by local cowboys and wannabes as cited in the article. It would be a good event but  to start 100 horses in the Santa Fe plaza of anywhere downtown will be a nightmare. But this is FANTA SE as the locals say !!!. JHM
