RE: [RC] [RC] Swanton Pacific - Ranelle RubinTo all the Ridecampers who may be sitting on the fence about Swanton:JUST GO! Hal and Ann Hall had always told me it was their favorite ride..last year I was there as a volunteer (drag rode the middle 30 miles) and found out why! It is the most amazing place..you have not lived until you have ridden your horse through a slolam course through the redwoods..then taken a shower in the forest afterward! Barb and Lud are the best hosts in the world, the food was amazing, the level of riders even better! The care of the horses at the vet checks (and we got there last obviously) was amazing. I met riders who have been in this sport almost as long as I have been alive..! (I'm 47).. So, honestly Barbara is not paying me to say this..I can't wait until my horses are old enough and ready..hopefully next year!
