A number of years ago a novice was denied entry to a ride because the horse was shod wrong. In tears she went to the breeder of the horse, who was a farrier and at the ride. He took the horse behind his trailer. Got out his tools and spent a half hour pounding on a shoe and otherwise pretending to reshoe the horse.The owner then brought the horse back to vet in. The famous vet said "Thats much better....".
