[RC] Do any of you get nervous? - rides2farHow do Iget over it? I used to ride with a woman who was TERRIFIED of narrow trails that really weren't *that* scarey. She would become totally paniced, and CLOSE HER EYES trusting her mule to take her past it. (I could never close my eyes!) Anyway, she would never walk near a dropoff to look off or anything. Hadn't seen her in many years but knew that she had an anurysm last year and almost died. It was very touch and go for awhile whether she'd live. Talked to her the other day and she mentioned going riding along a bluff I knew of. I said, I can't believe you'd ride that trail as scared as you are of heights and she said, "Oh, I'm not scared any more". Just as matter of fact. She had become a Christian during her illness and just had total calm. She said nothing bothers her now. I was amazed at the change in her. So...at least you know it's not impossible. Hopefully it won't take a near death experience for you. Personally, I don't go out of my way to show people how "brave" I am. I don't consider it fear so much as a strong self preservation instinct.
