Re: [RC] Sunday ride opinions? - rdcarrieThis wouldn't affect me, since I'm in Texas and wouldn't be attending your ride anyway...bit of a drive. <G> But, I know many people work part or most/all of Friday, then drive to a ride, arriving late Friday (thus not missing any work, or only part of a day). If the ride was on Sunday, they'd be *forced* to miss some work (use some vacation time) to attend, or else trailer home Sunday night, arriving in the wee hours of Monday morning. Just something to think about. I don't know whether it would be an issue for your particular ride, however. I tend to take the Friday before a ride off anyhow, so taking Monday off instead wouldn't be a problem.

Hi guys, I am considering switching the Foxcatcher ride in Maryland for spring of 2007 to a date in May. Right now the day after the Kentucky Derby seems like a decent date. But that's a Sunday. Would you still be willing to do a ride on a Sunday? This is not a multiday ride. Just a 25 and a 50 on one day. For people traveling from a longer distance, you could drive in to camp on Saturday, and take Monday off work to drive home. Instead of taking Friday off to drive down, and driving home on Sunday. Think I'll lose any entries? Thanks for the input! Alissa =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
