I often change mine from loop to loop. If it is a flat loop - they will 
be just a little longer. If it is hilly - they will be a little shorter. 
If I plan on riding the next loop slow - they will be a little longer. 
If I plan on riding it faster - they will be a little shorter. I even 
sometimes adjust them while I'm in the saddle during the ride. The 
beauty of Webbers.

With English leathers you get about 3/8's inch between the leather 
length from hole to hole.
