[RC] Horse for your spouse in GA - rides2farThis isn't exactly a classified...since I don't own the horse and wasn't asked to advertise it. >g< a friend of mine between here (Chatt) and Atlantas's got a tall (15.1+) bay, registered arab gelding that would be a great mount for "your spouse" but not an endurance horse. He'll be very reasonable to a good home. They have too many horses. Good points: I had him at my house all winter, we rode him a lot and enjoyed him. He will pop into the smoothest canter you've ever ridden and hold it indefinately without trying to get racey. Not a difficult ride but plenty of go. No problem with feet or being shod. Loads fine. We took him on several rugged 20 mile rides and he had no trouble keeping up with the endurance pace. You can pony off him. No threat to kick ever. Bad points: Has some arthritic changes only evident on a circle. Unless you plan to trot circles, you won't see or feel it. Also...WILL NOT ride alone. Has no problem leading or following but doesn't go solo at all. If you can think of someone who could enjoy this horse, drop me a note. Needs to go somewhere this weekend since a new horse is coming in.
