Especially on the outside of their front legs!! We have our token BLM donk and the flies just seem to eat his legs raw if we don't have some kind of protection on him everyday!! We'll have to look into a spot-on application.

  Anybody know which or the best or if it is sfe to use a spot- on  tretment on mini's or a donkey? I have a 37" donkey , who gets eaten by flys on his legs--clusters  of them when the horses only have a couple.
   Presently using Warpaint--it helps. But was thinking of using a spot on on him. Vet said for some reason Donkeys just seem to attact more and they just eat them up.
    Moving in 3 weeks finally,;0)--- and may not have a barn for  the summer for him to hide in--

  What is safest? And is there a generic? I make my own fly spray with the 10%Permethrin---the label (which I am going to go the feed store and read as mine fell off) says you can use it as a spot on on cattle and horses...............anybody have any experince with this an d with smaller animals.
    He is roughly 300 lbs.
