I'd offer that when a rider pays an entry fee, "entitlement" to such things
as a well-marked trail, sufficient water AND an opinion as to how the ride
manager conducted the event are well within reason...including quality of
"awards".
The AERC thinks enough of ride completion awards to have them in the
by-laws.
But, then again, it sure doesn't speak to "quality" of awards.
