Re: [RC] Bradenton, Florida - info? - Truman PrevattThe Sarasota/Bradenton area of Fl has undergone tremedious growth in the past 20 years. I live in the area from 1985 through 1998. I trainied and conditioned my first endurance horse to a certain point basically by the trails by my house (and I doubt if there are many trails left by anyones house there these days) and in the Myakka River State Park - out Clark Road 15 miles from Sarasota. I sincerely doubt if there are many opportunities to condition in that are these days other than Myakka. Myakka is flat as a pancake. As far as heat and humidity. I live 90 miles North of Sarasota and it's like a climate zone difference. Sarasota/Bradenton is hotter and more humid by a long shot. All that being said I trained and conditioned a horse that was a pretty good horse. She did well in 50's and had over 1/3 of her miles in one day 100's. Have your friend contact me privately and we can talk. On the other hand the Sarasota/Bradenton area is very beautiful - the land of the awsome sunset so there are alwasy trade offs.
