[RC] Prineville Barefoot! - Sue WalzHi all,Prineville was wonderful as usual! With better than usual weather! Perfection! Finally getting around to bragging about our Prineville successes! I brought 3 barefoot horses & they all completed their rides barefoot, not boots, no nothin'! Raven & I came in 21st on the 50 & vetted in sound & bare with Gene Nance praising Raven for looking better than he'd ever seen him! Thanks, Gene! The young vet that came in to sub for Dr Jen knew gaits well! He told me that Raven was racking at the out check! He gave Raven A's & a few B's at the final check. Raven gaits better than ever now that he's barefoot. My MFT mare, Ruby, did her first endurance ride & finished the 25 barefoot & sound, ridden capably by Michael Cardon! Thanks, Michael! Becca Clark came along to do her & her rescue boy, Puppy's, first endurance ride & finished the 25 barefoot & sound! So Ona Lawrence, if you are out there........ will you let us ride Sunriver barefoot, carrying EZ boots if we need them? We really want to do your beautiful ride! The terrain is better than Prineville for bare. The ride flyer says shoes required. Please give us a chance. I boot at the first sign of tenderness.
