Re: [RC] [RC] best tennessee training areas - Soli SorokinYou can't beat the area around Big South Fork for variety and amount of trails, as well as property prices. HOWEVER if you need to find work, jobs are in short supply here....that's the biggest con - the second biggest con is dealing with area "horse trainers" - I do all my own work with my horses, but if you need help, good trainers with a solid background in horsemanship are few and far between. I'd say nonexistant, darn near. Same with farriers and vets - they're here, but hard to find. The trails are wonderful though, you have a variety of places and difficulty levels to choose from, and hundreds of miles to cover. And property prices can't be beat, so long as you don't get railroaded by one of the real estate developers into the specialized "equestrian subdivision". Be careful you don't get hooked on gaited horses, though. I swore I'd never ride one of those "horses with training wheels" when I got here, and now that's all I ride! ~S On 5/14/06, judibn@xxxxxxxx <judibn@xxxxxxxx> wrote: Need suggestions of where Tennessee riders think the best areas to train for endurance are, as I'm looking to buy some property there?
