[RC] RC:RC:Thoughts on WEC 2008 - Nik Isahak Abdullah

Hi Leonard,
I can assure you the WEC 2008 trails are a lot easier than Edaran's.Edaran is our Tom Quilty and Tevis.Insyallah,Godwilling if we have sufficient funding next year we will make this into an annual international invitational ride.
The WEC Trails are mainly flat ,mostly sandy but not deep,some laterite,maybe 15 % hills,steep if FEI people allow.We locals are having a go at this 9th june and coming august probably some selected riders from overseas.Our problem is getting enough horses for our guests.
Riding in Malaysia is just like ridind elsewhere where temperature are between 80fahrenheit at night and over 90 during the day.It is deceptively cool at night and when it drizzle but this deception can catch a non discerning rider of guardwith the 'speed' part because humidity remains high at above 70% and it is the humidity in my experience ,not temperature that set up a 'constricting' envelope on your horses ability to go fast.If your Arrazi can go beyond 15 kph average in a 160 km here,you are really really blessed!!!
