Like Heidi, out 24/7, natural shelters, extra hay in winter (though this 
year's oat hay sucked & weight suffered).  My 40A is in midst of Sierra 
Nat'l Forest so I ride right out to dirt roads/trails...  when the snow 
isn't too deep :).  Or the mud.  Won't be trailering out till I fix the two 
new sinkholes in the road.
