Re: [RC] Loctite - Lysane Cree

Is there any way to un-do loctight? I used Loctight that was in a red tube, and the stuff was blue in color.

So far, it is impossible to undo, although I was told it would come undone when I needed it to and that it wasn't the strongest stuff. My problem  -  I use studs on my Epics in the winter time when there is alot of ice. Works great. Someone with good intentions suggested that I use the loctight so that the studs won't come undone or loose while riding. Sounded great in theory, however, does not work in practice, because now that I want to remove the studs I can't. The whole thing (the piece that goes in the boot from the inside as well as the nut) turns and no one can get enough grip on it to keep one from  moving while trying to undo the nut. So right now, I am stuck with a pair of permanent "winter/Ice" boots, since that is the only time I use the studs.

Any tips to getting the loctight untightened?????????  We gave wd-40 a try thinking it was just a bit stuck from dirt and stuff, but that was a no-go.

/If you have ever flown in an airplane, you have trusted your life to
/Loctite/or one of the competing anerobic adhesives.
/The secret is that aircraft mechanics use it carefully.
/1. They choose the right strength for the job.  ID'd by color.
/2. They clean the parts to be joined very carefully with solvent to
/remove grease.  Any grease will act as a "release agent".  (that is why oil,
/lard or Crisco has been used forever to prevent stuff from sticking in the
kitchen)
