Hi. Has anyone had a reaction to the West Nile vaccine this spring? My
friends horses and my horses got the shot on Thurs. My friends horse is still
very ill with a 106 temp since Fri. morning (today is Sat.) and he's still that
high. It went down a few last night but is back up today. He was shaking
and lying down. This morning, I went out to feed and my one
mare was shaking out of her skin and her temp was 104. All of my friends other
horses and my others are ok so far. The vet tubed them
both with oil since they were gassy and gave them bute intravaniously. I'm
in Medina, Ohio.
Anyone else have this happen and how long will this go on? I'm expecting my
horse to be sick for a couple of days like this. I'm tempted to put cool water
on parts of her body with a cloth but afraid that would make her shake.
