Re: [RC] logbooks etc - rides2farWhen you present your horse for vet checks during the ride, they have a desk where all the books 'live'. Probably an identical system to the card system. (or do you take your cards with you?) I'd say you'd get more resistance from fear of needing an more workers and additional bookwork than from any fear of tighter constraints on riding. I've managed a ride where I had to sit in a drippy tent trying to sort through multiple pages where the in timer recorded the finishers and kept starting new sheets as the last got too wet, then didn't number the sheets and it was all a runny mess. It's just scarey to think of handling something that's considered permanent in those conditions. As a rider, I'd love to have a logbook that recorded all his rides in order, etc. As a manager I'd be really worried picturing 200 entries and a person with a box of log books trying to find each horse's book without delay as they enter the P&R area. Seems that if you just wanted to keep a watch on horses that were pulled, having a logbook in your glove compartment that had to be presented for a notation if the horse is pulled would be just as efficient. Then you'd have to present your log book at vet in for them to check for notations maybe?
