[RC] Bears - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Lauretta tikitiki69@xxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== I know this was a recent topic....BUT...I was riding by the the Overlook in Auburn yesterday afternoon, and as I was coming back to the trailer I was stopped by the Auburn PD asking me about 2 riders that had been cornered by a mama bear that they were unable to find. Evidently, the bear wouldn't move, and the riders had been stuck for a while, and a passing mountain biker was able to get to where he could alert someone. When I talked to the cop, they still hadn't located bear or riders, but I didn't see anything reported in the paper, so it must have turned out ok. If you are riding in the area, be aware that there is at least one confrontational bear out there that isn't afraid to take on not one, but two horse and riders at a time. FYI....
