Re: [RC] Gates (was pet peeves) - Truman PrevattCattle are not run on public land in much of the East. No cattle - no need for fences and gates. I've ridden rides (out west) were you had to mess with gates - makes me glad we don't have them back here. As far as cattle they are run on private land and during the spring and summer you can run a cow per acre. In the fall you take them to market and cull out your herd.Truman Jonni wrote: Angie posted: >>>Come on out here. I've never seen a gate on a ride in 19 years. :-) I did get to see one and actually watch it be opened and closed when riding with Dr. Q. I was totally fascinated. <<< -- "Mathematics may be defined as the subject in which we never know what we are talking about, nor whether what we are saying is true." - Bertrand Russell =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
