[RC] Pet peeves - Ridecamp Guest

My all time pet peeves are the people who gallop pass me in a frenzy to be 
first.  I do my best to start last, or nearly so, & to keep my horse quiet & 
relaxed.  The next thing I know, some yahoo comes galloping up behind me & has 
the nerve to be mad when my frightened horse kicks, spins, or spooks.  Slow 
down!  Life's too short & someday you could be on that frightened green horse.  
Or better yet, maybe you'll get pulled at the first check & I can snicker to 
myself. <g>

I have no problem with drafters as long as they stay far enough behind as to 
not step on my horse's heels.  If a particular drafter makes my horse nervous, 
I'll _tell_ them to go on ahead as they're interferring with my horse.  How 
will the drafter know I'm bothered if I don't tell him/her?  I'm usually polite 
& just explain that my horse is nervous.  Otherwise, I LOVE the company.  I've 
met a lot of wonderful people this way.
