Good Morning, With the talk of hobbles and
Leroy and Virl, i would like to share a story on what kind of man Virl Norton
was. Before the start of the GAHR, Virl befriended a young Lady from
Vermont named Anne Babbot. She asked Virl to hobble her horse who was
probably never hobbled before and it was a disaster and the horse was
injured. Virl arranged to have a back-up mule The Deacon flown from
California for Anne to ride in the GAHR. Anne and The Deacon finished
27th, and thats the kind of person Virl was. ts
