I'm compelled to say (in memory of "Rosie"), not all Pit Bulls are mean.
Admittedly, there's a high proportion of mean/dangerous Pit Bulls
compared to other breeds, but they are not "guaranteed real mean
fighting dogs". Our purebred Pit Bull, Rosie, was about the sweetest dog
I've ever met. She would mother anything, including bringing on milk for
a potbellied pig...She was one tough snake killer, but to
anything/anyone else her tail was the most dangerous part of her.
There's my tidbit for the day...
