RE: [RC] Attacks by horses - Mike SherrellI humbly apologize. You're right, I wasn't thinking -- it's out of the question to do or even threasten any harm to a horse on its own side of the fence. The image I had in my mind was the one time my wife and I were riding on a new regional park and a herd of horses apparently from a neighbor who thought he still had grazing rights came up and were quite menacing, particularly the one I took to be the lead mare. Now I read that Mike Sherrell, who usually writes with at least a modicum of common sense, is advocating shooting an AUTOMATIC pellet gun at horses, ON THEIR OWN PROPERTY, including mares and foals, part of a breeding operation? part of a breeding operation with EXPENSIVE horses? I wondered the SAME thing. If the loose horses bothered my girl so much I'd hand walk by them.
