Re: [RC] Fart Question - agilbxr When Alpine gets like that, I call him jet propelled. However, if you horse is suddenly gassy and he isn't normally, keep an eye on him tonight. My vet tells me that riding my beast when he's tootin' is a good thing...helps keep everything moving well. However, I do give a bran mash if he's like that. I have had a couple of gas colics, and they can be a booger, so if the horse is unusually gassy, he goes for a ride and gets a nice supper. Of course, I've found a nice bumpy trailer ride sometimes works just as well.....

Alpine (jet propelled is a good thing, right?)
Spot (who I have never noticed having gas unless I'm picking up his hind foot)

Some of us are simply above that type of behavior. The truth dear, is that if he was farting as you said on every other stride, clearly he was trying to tell you that you were on the wrong diagonal. Don't let anyone tell you differently.
