The hills around my house are so saturated from 58 inches of rainfall that they are just letting loose.
I was driving out of my community to go feed my horses and this came down right in front of me. It was pretty amazing that the tree stayed vertical as it slid down the hill My house is 100 yards back on the hill top from this slide that blocked Hwy 35 today. The wires are all that kept the 50 foot tall pine upright after it slid 40 feet down the slope and onto the road I worked my way down the hill behind my house and took this from the top of the slide. The tree was just in front of the the trees that you see at the new cliff edge
of course its going to start raing again tomorrow [Friday] and they say we will have a really big storm on Monday..oh joy
