[RC] What to expect - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Dodie Sable dodie@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== (clip) should of picked up that empty lawn chair before you= came in and wonder if perhaps you would like to complain that= the chair was not standing at attention when you crossed the= line. Dodie, relax and learn to enjoy yourself more. = Remember, to finish is to win, you finished and your horse did= just fine. ~~~ You know, I almost wrote a blurb in my story about that chair. When we passed the finish line, it was napping against a tree underneath the red plate. Being the be-kind-to-critters person that I am, I felt that chair had been abused and overused or it wouldn't have been so inattentive to the turtle riders. I was even going to ask the nice man in the truck that followed us for 12 miles, (you know, the one preventing me from taking a trail pee break) to pick the chair up and give it a ride because that poor chair was really whooped. To all: I do enjoy myself, tremendously, even when I don't finish (I've been pulled a couple times in the past 7 years). I actually enjoyed this ride more than most because I had several challenges to make the ride more interesting. I am not about the hero welcome, or the prize at the end of the trail. I am all about my horses. (and maybe a poor stray chair on the trail) First, last and always.
