Patti and her gang put on an excellent ride. If I tried real hard to think of something to complain about it would have to be the deer ticks. I'm still picking them off. Patti please don't let one person's story change the fact that 99.9% of the people are so grateful for the work you and others did in pulling off a 3 day season starter.In general, my thoughts are, if you have time to write a story and complain about a ride then you simply have too much time on your hands. The time could be better spent being a volunteer at a ride to help the manager make things better. I know it's been said before, but I'll say it again, "if you haven't walked in the shoes of a ride manager"...??? So riders the next time you want to tell the world your woes about a ride, think twice. Ride managers can only take so much criticism (mostly undeserved) until they say "I've had enough". Trouble is, very few people want to step up and manage a ride because of the blood, sweat, and tears it requires. Never mind the money out of your pocket. OK, that's my soap box and I'm sticking to it. Never mind my husband will probably have a heart attack when he reads this. Oh well! Volunteer, better yet manage a new ride for us here in the northeast.
