Daley Ranch and Elfin Forest are great trails.  Daley Ranch is on the way to 
Valley Center and Elfin Forest is in Escondido.  Elfin Forest has great 
switchbacks that go up to the top of Mt Isreal.  you can see the ocean and 
Palomar Observatory on a clear day!
