[RC] elytes redux - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

I electrolyte in advance of a ride to make sure the horse is not in a deficit
situation at the start of a ride. I e-lyte on trail based on alot of things,
mostly heat, humidity, and terrain.

Okay - that sounds good. Maybe in a hot, humid climate a horse pulls lytes
from his system just being in it. If he's just been trailered dwon from Maine,
I can see that happening, but what if that is his natural, accustomed climate?
With that assumption, then he would need it every day, just living in
it/training in it. Yes/no? Do those of you in states where its not just hot,
but humid too, give lytes on the worst of days to prevent deficits in advance
of a ride? What if the horse has no deficit going on? If there isnt one, and
we give him exra, does that surplus have an undesirable effect? Do we know?
Just trying to work this thru...
